There is something special about walking around the World Showcase at night with all the pavilions lit up.  With the hustle and bustle of the day behind us we took a stroll during extra magic hours from 9-11pm.  During this time most guests were heading home with little ones or trying to get on the rides, so for the most part we had the World Showcase to ourselves.

The Mexico Pavilion is located in a pyramid that houses the San Angel restaurant (set in a perpetual twilight atmosphere) and the boat ride Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros.

This is the Norway Pavilion where you will pass by if you’re heading to the Frozen ride.

If you are paying close attention you will notice that the music changes as you move from one pavilion area to the next.  This is why Disney is so amazing.  The attention to detail is incredible and every sense is stimulated by the sights, sounds, and smells of the various countries.  Brilliant.

Here is the entrance to the China Pavilion:

During the day you will see a Nikon photo spot picture area just to the right:

The Italy Pavilion is a great snapshot of the country’s main attractions and if you’re looking for authentic Italian fare there are two restaurants to choose from over here: Via Napoli and Tutto Italia.

In the American Pavilion you can watch an animatronic show about the country if you need a break from the heat during the day, or grab a turkey leg if you’re hungry.

The Japan Pavilion offers a really cool drum show out on these steps in the daytime hours.  At night you get to appreciate the quietness and beautiful architecture.

I love the Morocco Pavilion.  It is the only pavilion in Epcot where the country, rather than a company, was in charge of the construction.  The government of Morocco sent their own architects to design and create the buildings in order to ensure an authentic representation of the country and culture.

If you’re not making it to the real Eiffel Tower anytime soon take in the miniature version in the France Pavilion.

If you can sneak away on a date night during your next vacation I would highly recommend taking a little time to appreciate the romantic walk through the World Showcase… then head over to Jelly Rolls on the Boardwalk for some dueling piano fun!
