When you’re on vacation it can be hard to keep a healthy diet.  There is a lot of temptation to eat ice cream, popcorn or snacks and just be out of your normal routine.  We try our best to keep the junk food to a minimum, but like anything else it’s nice to let loose once in a while.  If our kids wind up having dessert after every meal and are averaging ice cream 2 times a day we try not to freak out.

I was happy to read that Disney is now going to be offering GoGo squeeZ® applesauce pouches, as they have become the Official Applesauce of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/gogo-squeez-becomes-official-applesauce-of-walt-disney-world-resort-and-disneyland-resort-300313669.html?tc=eml_cleartime

It is nice to see apple slices and carrots as an option with the quick service lunches.  In Epcot you can grab a snack of fruit and cheese for the kiddos as well.  Eating healthy doesn’t have to be totally thrown out the window when you’re away, you just have to make a bigger effort to not succumb to the pressure of all the junk food!

Disney is also a wonderful place to vacation if you have food allergies!  They take great care and precision in making sure all guests with allergies are properly attended to.  When making dining reservations on the My Disney Experience website there is a section to add in allergies prior to even going on your vacation.  Upon arrival to the restaurant you can inform your server and get exactly what you need.
