I am a morning person so for this article I am a bit biased, however, I do think in Disney the morning is where it’s at!  At the time the park opens it is the most empty, the lines are the shortest, and at the Magic Kingdom you can still hit up 10-12 rides and be back at the pool for lunch.  So my advice is, skip the character breakfast and get to the parks!  Eat a bagel on the run.  Do whatever you need to get there by about 45 minutes before the park opens.

You don’t have to be first in line like a total maniac, but you want to get there at the open if waiting in lines isn’t your thing.  As an added bonus, you’ll get to see the pre-opening show at the Magic Kingdom, which is adorable. I didn’t realize they did this and I was so pleasantly surprised. Who doesn’t love a little Zippity Do-Dah to start your day, seriously!

I love walking around the park when there are the least amount of people there as possible, and when the kids are up at 6am anyway, getting there early is right up my alley.  I will admit though, there is something really special about being at the parks at night.

Typically we don’t go back with our kids because by the end of the day they are exhausted and we’ve found they don’t even ask to go back.  The next trip we take I’m going to try and get to the extra magic hours from 10-midnight at the Magic Kingdom so I’ll report back on wait times!
