People might think I’m a little nutty always going to Disney World on vacation – and I’m OK with that.  I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it’s a “trip” not a vacation, and there are many components to contend with.  Life is busy, and expensive, and it’s hard to commit to a vacation that will require a decent amount of running around. However, I’m still here to tell you – take the trip.

Here are the most common reasons why people tend to delay the inevitable Disney World vacation:

  1. Holding off because the kids are too young.  I can understand not wanting to bring an infant, but overall there are plenty of things to do at all 4 parks for all ages.
  2. It’s too expensive.  Not totally accurate, as there are price points and ways to fit an awesome vacation into many types of budgets.
  3. You don’t want to come back exhausted.  I’m not going to lie, you will be tired from the post-Disney adrenaline dump, but our goal is to create itineraries that maximize your time with a minimal amount of effort.

My biggest argument is that the kids are only little once.  ONCE.  Need more convincing?  Turn on the news for 5 minutes.  This is something I basically never do since it brings my anxiety to unhealthy levels.  I find life is so much better for me when I bury myself in Disney planning.  I may not be saving lives on the daily, but I hope that in a small way I am making a positive impact.

I will admit that I am guilty of waiting too long for my first trip.  I held off taking the boys when they were younger since we always seemed to have a newborn, which is now comical since Brooke has been there 5 times already (and she’s not even 3 yet, lol).  Sure I will admit that traveling with a baby is a huge pain, but whatever, we have gotten a pretty good system and now I laugh at my old self who was afraid to take the trip because it would have been “too hard.”

Here are just a few reasons why I am happy I finally bit the bullet and took the trip, and the trip, and the trip, and the trip, and the trip….

I look at these pictures and remember all of the fun we have had over the years.  These memories are my favorite ones and I love that I can be a part in helping other families create similar memories for their own families.

Life is good, people.  Take the trip.
